Espen & Eva-Linda
The couple met in Svalbard in 1999, where they both worked as chefs. Now – After over twenty years as partners at work and in marriage, it is safe to say that restaurant management is in their blood.
Their experience and dedication to the craft are clearly evident in the restaurant's atmospheric atmosphere and creative dishes – and ensure that guests experience a taste journey that is composed and directed by both of them.

The adventure begins
It starts in Bodø
Smak already offered an exquisite menu, seasonally based on local ingredients, with elegantly customized drink packages and phenomenal personal service.
2017
The way forward
Startup in Tromsø
At the bridgehead, in Skippergata, the tasting adventure continued. After a short time, there were months of waiting to get a table, and Smak was considered to be one of the very best restaurants in Northern Norway.

Taste & Ruda by the sea
Smak moves to the Kræmer Brygge district where every detail is built from scratch - and both the area and the number of employees increase. Sister restaurant Ruda also opens next door with a more affordable brasserie concept.
